Arrived in Orlando!
I've finally arrived in Orlando!
But, let me tell you, it was a rough ride...
It started out as a fun road trip across the southern United States.
However, our first stop, "Las Vegas" turned that fun trip into totally
different adventure!!
As I arrived in Las Vegas, my car bottomed out on the speed bump at
Harrah's, causing it to leak engine oil and for some reason... I get
80 miles on full tank of gas! I wasn't going to drive through New Mexico
and Texas where there are absolutely nothing for the next 200 miles
like that. I needed to get my car fixed, but the luck I'm in and being
holiday season, I could't get the car fixed for a very long time.
Plan B, I got everything out of the car and Fed Ex it to the new address
in Orlando and shipped the car out to Florida.
It doesn't all end there... I tried to get the next flight out of Las Vegas,
but the flight wasn't available until Christmas Day. But there isn't
anything I could do about it... So, I decided to get the tickets for the
25th. Nonetheless, when the day came to fly to Orlando, it got
canceled... Can you believe my luck?! Now, the flight wasn't available
for another 2 days. Again... when we arrived at the airport at 6:00 a.m.
on the 27th, that flight changed to 10:30 p.m. !!
After 7 days in Las Vegas and several thousand dollars in extra
spending, I'm finally in Orlando. I guess I have to think positive
and feel lucky that I got here in one piece.
It's been about day and a half in Orlando, but everyone in Orlando
is very friendly and treating us well here!
I hope to return my appreciation by providing this comunity with
superior health care.
